This is a solo album in the sense that I was alone when I recorded it, but Eaftos Ypo Kaluptoglou handled most of the production and noises and Paul Morris sang a bit. Big thanks to Eaftos for encouraging me to dust off the Saint Nefarious persona and give sloppy sad bastard pop and honest lyrics another go.

"Bury a Song" was originally recorded in 2021 and was handed to Eaftos for inclusion on their album, Spring Burial. It appears here in truncated and edited form and you wouldn't know the arrangement was built on banjo and ukulele.

"To Me Is Like" was recorded in a crowded house in 2005 to a slow computer through a bad mic jack, but the vocals were added in January of 2023.

"Afraid" was originally recorded to a Tascam 4-track in 2003 with a Yamaha sequencer I found in a pawn shop and the first acoustic/electric guitar I ever bought. Eaftos updated the arrangement a bit and I added new vocals.

The lyric "In the Future, We Are Dead" comes from the excellent collection of comics of the same name by Eva Müller and you can find it at birdcage-bottom-books.myshopify.com
